Viktor Kolár is the Czech Republic's most important urban photographer, and is especially famed for his photo-chronicles of his hometown of Ostrava. Kolár brings a politicized existentialism to the "decisive moment" principle, recording traces of civic alienation and anthropologically telling scenarios.
