Country Česko Language angličtina ; francouzština ; němčina ; portugalština ; ruština ; španělština Document kind BOOKS This four-volume dictionary covers wide subject areas which are independent of each other. The dictionary contains the terms used in space science, space technology, space research and allied disciplines. It consists of two main parts. In the first part the terms are listed in all six languages under eighty-six different subject sections. The second part of this dictionary is an alphabetical index for each language providing a quick reference to the position of any term in the first part. The whole work is thus equivalent to thirty bilingual dictionaries. The terms have been derived from journals, monographs, textbooks and lectures; some new terms have been proposed by competent specialists. It is hoped that the dictionary will help scientists, engineers, teachers, students and other users in communicating through the language frontiers. A person who has at least a reading knowledge of any one of these languages will have no difficulty in finding his way, with the help of the dictionary, when he attempts to read scientific or technical writing in one of the other five languages.
