KNIHY This paper analysed the hypothesis of the growing influence of family (social) origin on success in the transition between secondary and post-secondary school in the 1990s. The family origin of the respondent was indicated through the father's education and his socio-economic status. With the use of the method of logistic regression the hypothesis of the growing influence of social origin was not confirmed.
